Sawtooth Greenhouse
Sawtooth Greenhouse is by far the most collaborative project I have done in all of my studios. The students of this studio were responsible for the design of a greenhouse all while meeting certain requirements set by our studio lead, Felipe Mesa Rico.
My complementary program was chosen by our studio lead. Martial arts is a greatly important part of the great sandy desert. Many aboriginal people have practiced a fighting style that goes by “coreeda”. This translates to “kangaroo hunt” in the native tongue of these people.
To pay homage to the desert and its people the complementary program will be to teach the art of coreeda and its history. This includes having a large aboriginal flag where the martial arts is taking place that will act as the stage.
