Moon Base

Moon Base is a conceptual project that is situated in a crater on the moon where the sun is consistently shining. This site is important to describe because the conditions in other sections of the moon make it impossible to construct there. The site is sitting upon materials that the Moonbase will be constructed of. The sand will be hydrated and then subsequently cured in order to form a hardened exterior which will house the two miners. This studio was my introduction to programs such as rhino 7 and adobe.

These nodes include but not limited to: dormitories, cafeteria, lounge, lavatories, gym, and more. These nodes once printed would easily snap onto the existing central point, the nucleus.

Moon Base’s hexagonical shape was inspired by the geometric structure of honeycombs. This incredible shape has made this Moon Base far more modular. Modularity was the main goal with this project. The miners would be able to print new nodes for their living quarters and provide a better feeling to this building while on the moon.
